Role:

Advanced Scaffolder/Scaffold Inspector

Reporting:

Scaffold Chargehand/Foreman

Business Need / Purpose of Role

Carry out Advance scaffolder/Scaffold inspector duties and tasks competently and safely in accordance with training and skills as instructed and directed by supervision.

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

His/her duties will include, but are not limited to:

Safety, Quality and Environment:

. Report all accidents and near misses, however minor . Be aware of the implications of legislation or other good industry practices, relating to the tasks at which they are based. . Keep all appropriate records and complete any necessary paperwork required. . With the safety personnel, oversee the implementation of risk and safety assessments. . Manage and implement all relevant QA/QC procedures within their field of operations . Show a personal example of good safety practice. . Liaise with Client and Site Safety Personnel. . Attend and where necessary conduct Safety Meetings and Toolbox Talks. . Participate in accident/incident investigations as required. . Have a care for the environment and comply with statutory, client and Company environmental rules and regulations. . Observe & Comply with Company and Client Golden Rules . Use and maintain the proper safety equipment and PPE at all times in accordance with training, manufacturer’s instructions and Company policy.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Advance Scaffolders/Scaffold Inspectors will be required to erect, dismantle and carry out the following:

. Tower scaffolds . Independent scaffolds . Birdcage scaffolds . Slung scaffolds . Cantilever Scaffolds . Truss out Scaffolds . Proprietary scaffold system . Temporary installed suspended scaffolds and access equipment . Special design structures . Temporary Buildings ( including sheeting ) . Must be conversant with all relevant standards, specifications, rules, regulations etc including permit to work systems. . Tubular Drop Scaffolding off Steelwork. . Raking Shores . Flying Shores . Two way Shores/Dead Shores . Temporary Roof Scaffolds . Scaffold and Proprietary System False work (including levelling to reasonable tolerances), using adjustable base and fork heads to support form work as laid out in engineering scaffold drawings. . Interpret design drawings . Dismantle the scaffolds safely and in the correct sequence . Make provision for the safety of themselves, the workforce, and others affected by scaffolding works and users of the scaffold structure. . Determine materials for tubular drop scaffolding off steelwork, raking and two way shores, lying and dead shores and system false work.

. Read scaffold drawings and erect scaffold in line with drawings and specifications

Achieve project delivery/schedules. Achieve as team members LTI free operations and other safety objectives

Person Specification – Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications / Personal Attributes

. Preferably have 3 years experience which should include working in an Offshore environment project management will assess and approve whether any other relevant experience in a different environment is acceptable. . Must hold a current CISRS Advanced/Inspectors cards or ECITB scaffold card at Advanced/Inspectors . Must be in possession of an Offshore Survival and Medical . Must maintain at all time during employment current qualifications, cards and certification.
