HSE Charges

The HSE has announced today that due to on-going development of the proposals for the Fees for Intervention Scheme, the scheme will NOT now take effect in April 2012. October 2012 is likely to be earliest date on which it will be implemented. Detailed guidance will be published on the scheme in due course.

I was just thinking about this today as I drove to Helensburgh there seemed to be a bored policeman behind every bush with a speed gun. That is how I viewed the news that the HSE were to start charging for their services. If the funding was there this change wouldn't be taking place at all which seems strange today of all days when they announce an increase in unannounced visits. I wouldn't be surprised if this change never see's the light of day.
