hi ive been laboring now for over a year i know the basics of scaffolding i can erect basic scaffolds i need help filling in my portfolio for college as its all tube and fitting and ive been learnt to use ready lock has anyone got anything that may help me to write out word for word how to erect and dismantle an independent scaffold a cantilever and pavement scaffold? as im struggling to write it all out. any help much appreciated
 
First Things First Dan , Welcome To The Forum, Next Things Next You Shouldnt Be Filling Out Your Own Portfolio, You Should Ask Your Chargehand Or Supervisor To Do It For You . There Is No Generic Portfolio With System Though So You Will Have To Start Taking Photos As Evidence. (Ruddy Pain In The Rear End But Thats What They Ask For)
 
Think the picture days are over Gerscaff, they finally realised that boys were jumping in front of any job and saying they built it.

I noticed a good post last night from Geoff Becks, who spelt out exactly how simple an operation these things really are. By all means Dan speak to your charge hand but he will more than likely struggle more than you. Work through it on simple bit at a time it's a fairly simple exercise when you break it down. Do you use brace with the ready lock, if you do it should be about the same procedure.
