From Minneapolis have the day off having my coffee and came across this place. I've been building scaffold for almost 25 years mostly industrial power houses, refineries.
Regards Mike

welcome to the forum Mike.It must be starting to get cold that far up the states this time of year.

Welcome to the forum Mike,
How are things in the US scaffolding industry these days?
You know I think were OK on the industrial side of work oil, megawatts, ethanol and chemicals. Commercial building construction is very slow here, dead in fact.
I'm a Union Carpenter not all Union Carpenters care to build scaffold, of course now they will.
I'd say the top 30% of scaffold Carpenters are staying busy you may have to travel but if your good you will do OK.
Ive been running work for many years but traveling. Ive taken a job at one of our local refineries and taken a step back even waring my tools occasionally:D
I like sleeping in my own bed driving 20 minutes to work and working 40 hours a week like a regular job.
I hope it stays that way but I'm sure it wont the company I'm working for is going after a bunch of work coming up back on the crazy train.

Haha no 2X4's, in the US scaffold started out using lumber but has since moved on to tube, frame, and systems but since it started out as lumber Carpenters are the trade that claim the work.
