hello all ive just discovered this forum while job searching , ive not been working for about 16 months i took some time out when the recession hit hard my wife went out to work full time and i became an at home dad for my two kids (girl 6 , boy 2) . now its time to get back on spanner its gonna come hard i used to be 10 1/2 stone wet through but now 12 stone so ive got some timber to shift :worried: . ive been scaffolding 10 years did a part 1+2 t+f about 7 years ago but never completed the portfolio (shocker) then oct 2008 did EWPA thanks to SGB then got made redundant now here i am searching for work around cambs any pointers would be well recieved . also how long has the forum been open ? . be safe out there and if anyone tells you it cant be done ITS A LIE! .

Carmanmk2 welcome aboard mate.
As you have stated the 'Recession' changed many a persons life, i admire you for your honesty in your thread , about looking after the kids, ( that is quality time, mate, and the kids will remember that for life).
The much publicised (By politicians )'Green shoots of recovery', has still a long way to go, before we will ever get our 'feet firmly back on the ground, and in fact we a expecting a further pay off within the next few months, at our workplace unless there is further orders brought in.
In the short term mate, dont ditch the old apron strings yet for the Harness and belt, and expect things to be the same. It is Dog eat Dog out there still mate.
