I have just joined the forum after hearing that it was an excellent source of information.

I was wondering if there is any scaffold measurement tool/app out here for working out the ration of scaffold fittings in a job or maybe per bay ie the number of doubles! singles! swivels etc

All the best

Welcome to the forum. I think the tool you may be seeking is experience.

Nice one probably walked into that one. This is more for auditing purposes calculating material content in the larger scaffolds, tube and boards aren't an issue it's just to separate the number of various fittings.

Welcome to the Forum. Pencil, paper and a rubber works for me.
If the job is repetitive just work out what it needs for a square and work it out from there.

Hi Andrew, on a slightly positive note I don't know of any simple software that will do this for you cheaply. Most of the people on here can make fairly accurate material assessments of the needs of various scaffolds during the estimating stage. Scaffolds do change due to the physical demands of the site so the results can vary quite a lot. I used an estimating package some time ago called CADS which would give 'loading lists' based on the quotation raised, accuracy depended on the data input. However the cost (£) would be inhibitive if it isnt being used to secure business.

too much of everything secures the job and stops your men standing around waiting for gear and loosing money the virtue of accuracy is getting what you need from a large quantity of when you have finished hoover up the remainder of materials?
