Alright guys After much thought iv decided to call it a day scaffolding. New year new start and all. So I have a 2 week old hardly used big ben double lanyard harness, a used belt with used level, spanner and ratchet, also a podger!!!! Might help someone just starting or someone for spares. Better than sitting in the garage gathering dust.. obviously I'm looking for the postage cost and a drink back on it but More than happy to help someone out if needed. Cheers
 
Definitely not I'm expected at the airport on Monday morning so I'm going to have one angry ex boss when I finally get through to him.. normally he deducts flight money out ya wages if you don't show but I'm paid up thank ****.

Don't think I know of any scaffs being paid off this year to be honest. Must still be happening in Scotland is it?
 
A few lads on my firm were. Don't get me wrong they were sh1t but still never nice at this time of year.

Hi mate. Sorry to hear to giving it up. Although I've thought about it loads of times just not comfortable enough in life to take a lesser paid job yet. How much are you thinking for the tools. Thanks
 
I only started to help a mate out and got stuck lol.. never really enjoyed it but saying that iv had some good laughs and met some decent lads along the way and made some decent money. Take it to private message mate and make me a sensible offer coz it's not about money for me I just want rid then when they gone it's over and my fresh start can begin..
 
That's what happened to me BAP ,
I left school at 15 and there was no work so went with the old man to fill in ,and here Iam 35 years later ,
I could never see me doing anything else if Iam honest I still have a love for it even if my body thinks Iam nuts hahahahaha
Good luck for the future and stay here for the crack ;)
 
Same Here, I Was 15 Left School On The Friday Got A Start With Gkn Mills On The Monday, That Was 1977 But I Wouldnt Swap It For The World, Met Some Of The Finest Human Beings In The World Met Some Shitehouses As Well , But By Far The Most Have Been Top Class. (You Will Come Back ) Cause Once Its In You Theres Nothing Else Like It , All The Best For The Future BAP And I Hope It Works Out For You ,

Please Dont Be A Stranger Bap, Just Cause Your Not Working As A Scaffolder Doesnt Mean You Arent One So Contribute To Our Wee Forum Buddy.
 
Good luck BAP mate in whatever you choose to do. Remember though buddy you have a trade to fall back on if all esle does not pan out and no one can take that away from you. All the best for 2016!
