Scaftec Ltd are looking to recruit three new graduate engineers to cope with an increased national and international workload.

Scaftec are a temporary works design consultants based in Glasgow with offices in Aberdeen and Perth Australia. Established in 1995 Scaftec has grown to incorporate over 130 years of experience in the temporary works industry. Petro-chemical, offshore, nuclear, events, historical structures, bridges, public and industrial sectors are just some of the areas where Scaftec carry out design.

Position:
Graduate Design Engineer

Job Description:
The Scaffold Design Engineer is responsible to the Lead Engineer for:
• Preparation of calculations and detailed construction drawings in accordance with the relevant codes of practice, guidelines and standards.
• Design of various projects using scaffold systems and tube and fitting arrangements.
• The designs involve a variety of scaffold structures from standard access to temporary roof structures.
• The use of various computer packages from Auto CAD for drawings, Microsoft Excel for calculations supported with structural analysis software.
Hours of work:
Mon – Fri: 09:00 to 17.30

Package:
Salary: Negotiable
Regular overtime available paid at increased rates
20 days annual leave plus 9 bank holiday days
ICE membership fees paid

Location:
The position is based at the Head office in Glasgow.

Training:
Internal training is provided
External training courses are provided where applicable
Encouraged to work towards membership of the ICE

Requirements:
BEng/Bsc Hons Minimum in Civil Engineering or similar.
Driving License is desirable.
Knowledge of AutoCAD would be desirable.
Experience within the Industry would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
