When the Government provides funding for training where does it go?

Do they allocate it to certain postcodes with high unemployment, straight to the training providers that have to meet certain targets or to anyone on a first come first served basis?

Government funding comes through the EU. It has severely dried up and a lot of what they say does not materialise. Most companies need to get partners as the minimum application for funding is 500k now so mostly colleges, construction skills and large training providers who train in many trades using male and female apprentices along with disadvantaged and disabled people. There is also a huge claw back on non achievement. It's a big risk now under the coalition government.

I noticed your similar question elsewhere today Swifty. Comparing prices and availability with BF a while back Wales was well covered and you boys were getting a cracking deal compared to what we were paying up here at a time. Next month it could be the other way round, just depends on who has it and has to get rid of it to get their share.
