Going rates price target work

Whats the going rates at the min for price/target work a square? (london)
With Summer coming up and holidays etc to fund i am thinking of earning an extra few quid, but aint done any for a few years now and what with the recession firms are still playing on it.
Hearing the prices now are worse than years ago! Shocking when you look at the way a scaff has to work these days!

Can anyone give a rough figure on prices for

double boarding ?
monoflex/netting?
fans?

And is 40 ft still the height for you basic squarage rate before the rate goes up?

scaffy and phillio or phil be able to nail this for you mate the rate varies wildly here for price but am sure the lads i mentioned will put you right good luck.
 
Nice one, like i said most people settle for day rates these days with the ***** pricing undercutting go on and crap squarage rates but be nice to know what firms are paying especially on the extra bits just to compare.
Double boarding used to be great money but some firms are taking the piss at the min and expecting things like that and netting done in the standard rate piss takers!
 
Was normally after 3 lifts that the price went back up
to the base lift price but most firms are payin the same
for all lifts, as long as your stretchin like a b***ard you
should earn some shillings.
Any time ive been on jobs with with additional stuff it
has always been included in price, just had to suck it and see.


Dunno if buy brand tools sell milk crates and zip ties m8!;)
 
even the day rates are being squeezed not easy just now running a firm lets hope for better times ahead for all.

Was booming a few years back, its now starting to make people want to get out the game the way its going.
To much involved just to earn a half descent wage.

Don't help matters when there are Polish cowboys starting up there own firms and thowing **** up for £60 a square and all that.

How some of the work up don't get condemned is beyond me, the only concentrate on the big boys whilst the cowboys are raking it in putting up crap work!

I have allways worked on the basis of get the best rate possible out of them for the first 40 foot then 20% rise to every 20ft after but to be honest most jobs tend to be 30-80 ft anyhow and end up being all the same rate, which is why its important to get that good rate at the bottom.
3rd rails netting double boarding etc is a liberty tho included in prices we all know its a seperate price, they just try it on 9 times out of 10!
 
yes very true mate been discussed on here many a time think all we can do just now is keep our own house in order while hoping things pick up to near where they were and the HSE starts to take a more dim view on the vagabonds you mention ps inter are beating munich 0-1.

been impressed with spurs like their attacking ethic breath of fresh air,just need to hope you avoid barca.
 
am on a daywork daly rate am puling a ton a day but can top tht up wiv saturday workin wich we get an extra 50 notse a shift om top of ur hours so can ern a nice wage for doin jak on a weekemd hapy days al rouund

Anyone know how much extra internal handrails are worth?
 
to be fair fella anybody on price is now breaking the law the company as to put in place a safe working procedure for erect and dissmantle of scaffolding target work cuts corners on safety we all know that
