Reet after years of slagging of torque guns wrench or whatever the fook there called Iv decided I want to go back on the spanners just don't think my elbows will manage so which of these is best to use best value , can't believe I'm even posting this after refusing to even work with anyone that had one ha

Makita are the best Allan ,
And it will save the wrists, elbows, shoulders ,
Only thing is it will make you deaf hahahhaha

Drills are **** dont work in the rain the motor burns out every six months plus fuckes up the thread on fittings it's all about the spanner

After 33 years using a spanner every joint is knackered and I decided to invest in Makita ,
I can only tell you what I have found ,
And that is I don't go home with every joint aching anymore and I can do as much know as I did 15 years ago ,
They are great for plumbing up a brace that needs a good shove 1 quick burst and it's done,
I struck the racks in our old yard on my own something like 700 doubles that had been there for 5 years in a short day with ease ,
Imagine how your wrist would be after that .

The only complaint I have about them is the noise and some days I go for the spanner rather then have the noise , but iam soon reaching for the Makita by lunchtime when the wrist start aching

Try eBay ,
They ain't cheap around the £350 mark

I just looked and they have some for around £287 with 2 battery's and a charger ,
Make sure you get the 18 volt 1/2 inch drive and you get the impact wrench and not the impact driver ,
You will also need a 21mm socket and a frog

You will take a few nuts of to begin with but you will soon get used to it

Only buy genuine battery off eBay (£65). I fell for the cheap trick and when you return them Makita can't help you out.. Ive had six Makita and they lasted 5 month before needing replaced .. I keep buying them though as they are the nuts.. Once used you will not go back to the spanner
Ps.. I'm now using Hilti on the fleet management scheme, more money but service is superb

I thought Hilti had stopped doing the fleet deals :wondering:
I talked to a rep a few years back and it worked out about £3 a week but like you say they will replace them real quick if it breaks or you have a problem

I'm now into my 2nd 2 year contract.. price went up from £26/month to £35/month as I couldn't deny being a scaffolder as the company name gave it away.. I imagine if you don't divulge your trade you might get it around the £26 mark

I would check out the new Milwaukee model, it has 4 settings and shuts off at certain torque, unlike the Mikita. More expensive then the Mikita but might be better I think, it's also brushless to.

Bumped in to a pal off mine and he told me the company he's working for has banned the drill? It's a 5 lorry outfit it in London doing street work any else heard anything like this

No , but why would they ban a tool that makes their men more productive ,

Maybe name the firm , if they have 5 lorrys they must know what there talking bout ;)
