Funding for HGV?

hi i was wondering if anyone knows if there is any funding available to do my 7.5tonne licence.

i am a part 1 scaffolder and have recently been made unemployed.
most of the companies i have contacted have said if i had my hgv i could start the next day so im wanting to look at doing it but currently cant afford to fund it myself

Its worth paying the bit extra and do class 2 aswell.
 
We got 2 HGV's trained for nothing but that was some years back when they reckoned there was a national shortage of drivers. It took us nearly a year from start to finish as there was an NVQ attached to it, not just the driving. The job centre is always going to be the best place to start, and I don't think I would waste too much time with the 7.5 tonner, if you are going to do it get the class 2 if possible.
