Edited to say: The guy in question climbed down one of the ladders and had a heart attack/ stroke on one of the ladder stages. HE DID NOT FALL! He left 4 children, 3 grand children and a widow. He was due to retire in 2 weeks time, He was 65. RIP.We have all just been sent home and the Athlete's Village shut down because one of the Crane drivers on TC7 has fallen to his death.

We had thunderstorms earlier and he decided to climb down and slipped from the ladder.

Sad sad day.

:( thats very sad news. These storms have been horrendous... thunder is still rumbling around.

Stay safe.

What tragic news his poor family will get today my thoughts are with them may he rest in peace

A sad day, my thoughts are with his family, friends and co-workers.
The weather has alot to answer for!

R.I.P. ANOTHER SAD LOSS TO THE INDUSTRY.
good point tho spannerbitch if a scaffolder cant step off the ground without hooking on even tho it wont kick in till atleast 1.5 metres depending on the type of lanyard. Then why can a crane driver climb substantial heights with no protection at all
