hi all. iv recently done my cscs test and looking for work scaffholding labourer i live in haverfordwest pembrokshire if any body has any infomation on how i can find work doing this or tips to get in on the trade would be much appriciated.

Hello Mate

Welcome to the Forum...........At a guess I'd say you try someone like JPS down there.............or, go to Yell.com the UK's local business search engine - search for United Kingdom businesses put in Scaffold Erectors, Pembrokeshire and try all the numbers you see there and express a lot of enthusiasm!

Tell them that you are a member of the Scaffolders Forum and you know about 1200 Scaffs............hope that helps.........;)
 
Try all the local firms and tell them you will work for the first day for free, if nothing else you will prove your serious. Work like a bitch, take all the stick, don't be cocky and ask loads of questions. We have 4 apprentices and more than anything else I like to see them arrive on time, work hard,ask loads of questions and wear their ppe all of the time regardless of what everybody else is doing, remember if you want people to take you seriously,look like your seriously wanting to learn.
