Hi fellas, does anyone know what qualifications are necessary to be able to install edge protection systems other than guardrailing such as lifelines and the like.
Under the wah regs u only need to be a competant person but you gota prove ur compantancy however the min ur gonna need iscur pull tester to check ur fastenings etc
. Lifelines using Bridon wire and bulldog grips have documentation with them saying how many grips are needed and how to install them. This can also be incorporated into your design regarding supports etc.
Ta lads.. I've been installing some edge protection recently so the lifeline boys can safely install their system. Maybe kill two birds with one stone. or is it something you would just leave to professionals?
Horses to courses m8 but i think theres difference between temporay works of scaffolding & the perminant installation of a fall protection system - think uoud need to do a lot more investigating before installing urself
Cheers mate.. At a glance it's not a million miles away from our game.. We both use drilled in anchors.. But as you say further investigation is the next step..
