Ex-scaffolder in a 'battle for justice' on asbestos

lets hope he wins.i lost my da to that stuff never had a clue he was working with it,and never knew the price he would pay.
this was once thought to be only shipyard workers and laggers who were the main victims of this cancerous curse, but it has now transpired that building workers will be the next casualties.they put in plaster, oven lining, ironing boards its everywhere.
i urge all scaffs and everyone in general to treat this shiit with the upmost respect.
there is no cure and when your diagnosed with MESOTHELIOMA,you will be dead in around 1 year.

companies are the bad guys if you have a thousand boards on a job would you bin them after I also. Think the asbestos removal people are negligent with cleaning up after themselves

I wish Micheal Brown well with his claim for compensation, the great shame is that he has mesothelioma. It is a killer and most people do not last more than two years after diagnosis

I myself have been exposed to asbestos dust while working on power stations in the 60/70s working alongside laggers hacking off and re-aplying asbestos, and have moved thousands of boards full of asbestos dust

The deaths from former construction workers for this illness is running at around 2,000 per year at present and an increase is expected as more workers are diagnosed

THIS IS NOT AN OLD TIMERS DISEASE.........PROTECT YOURSELF

Asbestos can be present in any building built before 2000, and though the disease can remain dormant for decades, there is no gurantee that it will. It can take effect only months after contact.
