Have just been looking through "NASC TG-4:11"(Achorage Systems For Scaffolds) which states that Drop-in Anchors are no longer acceptable in Brickwork, (Concrete Only) it goes on about using the 14mm Nylon/Plastic inserts and Screw-in Eyebolts and Hook-Fittings (as well as other stuff). Maybe its just me but, i cannot get my head around a plastic plug and eyebolt being as effective as the expanding M16 Drop-in's and Rings...
I've talked to people that have used the Plastic Inserts and they say the are fine and easier to work with..

Any Thoughts??

Regards to all...

Iam converted Tomcat , pull test up to 15KN , cheaper , no setting the anchors with whatever the lads have to hand.

they are the way forward mate a lot less hassel and less damage to the property which you are working on. they do not blow the brickwork either unlike the drop in anchor. very fast when using layher system
