Why does that link take me to the simian site?

I googled Keith Squire and found his LinkedIn profile.

https://www.linkedin.com/pub/keith-squire/17/808/919

He is a Driver CPC trainer and therefore has a vested interest in getting as many folks as possible to sign up (and pay) for the training - even by the government's rules they don't need it.

I'll repeat the link I gave a few days ago.

https://www.gov.uk/driver-cpc-exemptions-examples

For those that DO need it, it is a £50 fine for not carrying the card - even if they know you're qualified and have paid £8.75 per module upload fee. The whole thing is a legalised extortion racket. My advice is don't be bullied into doing it if you don't have to.

Got pulled by VOSA today on the motorway. Taken to the weigh bridge and weighed etc. Mechanic went all over the wagon and found nothing. I asked if this was to do with the new CPC checks and the VOSA guy said scaffolders did not require a cpc unless driving was just their main job.
When I checked with VOSA before tking the course I was informed that some may let you off and some may fine you. Seems like there are no hard and fast rules on this one yet! " Grey Area" ??
