so im getting a new impact wrench and deciding which one to buy.

I had the makita which was great but looking into other options after reading posts on here and speaking to lads on site with different models.

what i havent seen is any mention of the dewalt but was talking to a fellow scaffolder i know from years back i saw in the pub on saturday and he says hes got a dewalt and its been better than any of the other makes that lads have had hes been working with?

Anyone got any input on the dewalts?

Cheers :)

I used the 12v DW053 for many years. The did wear out quite frequently but always got repaired FOC in the local dealer if under a year old. They were cheap, light and not too powerful.
I think the new 18v is the same weight and torque but the batteries have more life in them.

Never used one. Can you set the torque on them so that you know the fittings are done up to the reqoured spec.
