If you're looking to find out what the comapany you work for charge day work at, then anything between £25 & £45/hr.

If you're in the market for work and you need to ask what to charge, then probably £25 at the level you'd be starting at.

Typical NPO uplift would be £5-£12.50/hr time/half & £10.00-£22.50 double time.

Obviously a massive difference there for different levels of work.

Contrary to popular belief, there's not much money to be made from DW - particularly if the employee's are PAYE, as you can add 30% to their daily wages for employers NI contrubtions, holiday pay, etc etc.

Good post Phil, don't suppose you would mind getting on the phone to a few of my customers and explain that all to them.:(

Around £25.00 per man hour + expenses for ordinary time and £45.00 per man hour + expenses for out of normal working hours

We would look for £25.00/hr (min 4 hrs) plus an hour each way travel to and from site. Obviously you need to charge for any materials used

I suppose he knows it so well from telling his own clients the same thing.
