hows it going fellow scaffs just a quick ??,i started to learn scaffoldin 4 n half year ago i started at 23 paintn ends of tube in the yard til one the squads needed a goafer i stuck at it thick an fin four n half years on have my part one and my confined spaces certificate n hopefuuly another six il b competend enough to go for my part 2 i am self employd and workd for same guy since day dot wot sort of hourly rate use guys think sounds about rite any ideas as i have never workd else wer and all these subbie guys tellin me ditch wot do i do??????
 
you dont mention what ur on at the mo or what ur abilities are, normal goffers on part one can be between £65-£100 depending on your ability sounds to me your govnor getting his monies worth outta you or after 6years ur too dumb to progress and will never make a scaffolder all the time you got a hole in your arse, saying that if you're getting more or think ur worth more then stick at it and try and find another company willing to invest in you at your age loads ahead of you
 
2 embarresd tell ya wot am on lol but if u say between 65 n 100 i think the gafferw ell n truly had hes money worth but hink il stick we him c i can get ma part two outa him yet
 
my daughters boyfriends on 50 a day as a labourer he fooking hates it but!!is only doing it for the monies!!! sounds to me your keen and interested as youve got your part 1 exspecially the amount of time youve been with firm you should be looking at atleast 70 a day minimum!!! if your boss is paying a lot less then depending how work is where you are move to another firm were you can progress mate the reason i say this is that youve come on this forum for advice so your oviously not happy with your paye plenty out there that will take the p!ss fair days paye for a fair days wage all the best colinkelly and welcome to the forum mate
 
no problem colinkellys ive only worked the industrial curcuit so the street works can be so different in wages!!! but i would say a part 1 on the street curcuit thats keen should warrent 70 a day minimum!!!! all the best in your venture colin
