Alright chaps, is anyone aware of a circular system staircase on the market??

I think someone has been smoking crack myself, cause i've never heard of one, but a customer, a repeat of a job that we need earlier in the year, have now come back to me and asked if we could supply a circular staircase as opposed to the HAKI stair tower that we supplied previously.

Had a bit of a mooch on the old inter web, but can't seem to find anything.

Like i say, never even heard of such a thing never mind seen one.

The only circular staircase ive seen is th one on the helter skelter. Haven't seen a system one myself.

you could do one out of t&f.. centre stanard all the way up to pick up the inside of the treads and a **** load of standards on the outside to pick up each tread.. good luck...

Why would they need this I don't see the point. If it's space then just use ladder

Not sure but your client may have a H&S issue?
Some years ago I needed to put a spiral stair in a public venue and could only get permission to do so if it was a "Secondary Access" as there was a need to be able to get a body on a stretcher down in an emergency?

That said I have never seen or come across a circular access in scaffolding.

Be good to know if you do find something
regards
Alan

It's purely for aesthetic reasons, the job is going to be on telly. Suggested a tube and fitting job, but then told them it would be a fair old lump and look fuckin orrible compared to a system staircase ( as much as that pained me to say).

I'll talk them into getting a bespoke staircase made i think!!

sure he dosent mean to go up/down in an almost circular fashion, but with 4 x 90 degree turns?

Its only 4m tall,

I've been going round in circles trying to defy their this one

It saddens me but you can't make squares into circles at least not in a staircase
