Right lads.
Have just had some info passed on that Cape Onshore have set up a seperate recruitment team.
I know the info below is correct because the Manager on site was at a staff meeting yesterday and he has brought back a contact sheet with the info on it and put copies in the cabins for the lads to give out to their mates looking for work.
Apparently you have to send or e-mail your C.V or phone in your details then they add you to the data base for future requirements with regard to shutdowns, new projects etc.

Details are :-

Recruitment Team - Onshore
Cape Industrial Services
Bentley moor Lane
Adwick-le-street
Doncaster
DN6 7BD

e-mail: recruitment.onshore@capeplc.com

Tel : 0844 736 00 33

Apparently the name of the bloke in charge of the team is a Martin Tweddle.

Let's hope Tweddle don't talk Twaddle !

Hope some of you looking for work get a start as a result :smile1:

Good luck !

The've not much work at moment, as ive been told to TUPE over to the next firm this month 15 yrs in (my thread just a number)

That info is right but you can't get to talk to martin or hailey on the phone. The last time I talked to Hailey she said they have 14 outages this year and they need 500 scaffs for one region..Let's hope that the foookers at Pembroke that was traveling men working as local men haven't fucked this up for everyone..

A spoke to hayley about 6 weeks ago. She said they had a lot of work coming of soon. But now every time you phone you just get the machine. Has anybody had any luck ?

I've not been able to get through and not heard a thing

Sorry for posting the info lads.
Sounds like another load of Cape hoss siht !
Another little department doing nowt !

Introduction

Folks, good morning.

Thanks for all your comments on here regarding Cape; it's important that we try and be transparent with the Scaffolding community at large.

We are handling applications for a number of UK outages this year. In fact each year, we increase numbers by over 2,000 employees. However, this sheer volume of applications makes it difficult for a centralised recruitment team to take each and every one of the phonecalls we receive from the eager, hardworking individuals that are contacting us about work.

Our procedure specifies that we must take CV applications, and from there we can add people to the system for relevant opportunities as and when they arise. If you've worked for us before, your details are already recorded, though you may want to help us ensure we have the right contact details for you by sending in a CV. You can submit to recruitment.onshore@capeplc.com.

Thanks for taking the time to read our post, and we look forward to speaking to you all shortly.

Kindest regards

Recruitment Team - Onshore

First of all Welcome to the forum

Your "heads up" as regards your recruitment policy will be welcomed by scaffolders seeking work.

If you are honest and transparent with your post,s to the forum you are assured a warm welcome by our membership

There are far too many agencies and middle men in the scaffold industry some good and some very bad that are making a profit from the supply and recruitment of labour, not to mention the scammers and identity theft merchants that can gain a lot by obtaining some ones C V

Please make regular posts on your views and position of the larger scaffold industry in the UK and offshore.

Welcome cape good to see you have listened to your lads and came on the forum hope you will become a sponcer and post any jobs on here for the lads

its where they can get loads of scaffolders in and when all the works up they can fook them off as quick as take then on!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry spannerman i was being sarcastic an outage is where the plant is shut down so they can repair any damage thats been done over the year or years this normally take place on powerstations were you can earn some good money for a number of weeks or months or even longer 7 days a week if you want to do the hours and want no life lol!!
