Cape layoffs "HR1 form rolled over"??

Cape say they will be lots of scaffs layed off in the next couple of weeks from "Wilton & North Tees". in novenber 2012 they put in the HR1 form wich allows them to lay over 20 men off {takes 30 day from putting form in till they can give out notices } the lay off never happened at that time, they say "the form went in just to cover them in case" today they have informed the union reps that the HR1 form has been rolling over, Dose any body no can roll over for?? surely it must have a time limit or they could just keep it rolling as long as they like.

30 days notice to lay off 20-99 men minimun,that notice can run on and be used in the case you explain but only if the company have made it clear to the individuals at risk of redundancy that it will be rolling over.surely your union reps must have known this and been informed of that situation mate?

ps im not sure of how long the rolling notice can run on for but i know its not indefinite best of luck.
