Cape is delighted to announce that for the third consecutive year they have been named ‘Contractor of the Year’ by Exxon Neftegas at Sakhalin Island. Cape’s award is in recognition of its excellence in safety for works during 2012 on the Sakhalin-1 Project.

Sakhalin-1 is a consortium managed and operated by Exxon Neftegas to locate and produce oil and gas in the Okhotsk Sea, from the Chayvo, Odoptu, and Arkutun-Dagi fields. Cape has been providing scaffolding, painting and insulation services since 2008. The award was presented to Cape’s General Manager Vadim Verchenko.

Steve Connolly Divisional MD of Cape UK and CIS commented: “this is a fantastic performance from Bahruz Gurbanov and his team, demonstrating an exceptional level of consistency in health and safety management in what is a testing environment, they should be very proud of their achievement.”
