hiya i did the bosiet and mist course late on last year ant falck nutec teeside and was just wondering if anyone new of any contacts that they would be willing to share to aid me in getting work out there. been trying for three months now with no luck at all. tried a few companies SALAMIS, RBG and CAPE. but all said the same, does anyone know of any other places to try even agencies so i can get that much needed offshore experience. i am 28 and have been scaffolding since i was 16. but think this is the way forward for me. please help if you cah. thanks paul

thanks

it seems a bit harder than i thought. just not too sure where to start looking. cheers

The 3 Service Companies you have mentioned are the prime movers---just keep kickin at the door M8---pester the sh!t oot of them---good luck...

Best bet is to get yourself down to the depots that are primarily offshore based. I know its not always ideal but everyone I know that now works out of Great Yarmouth for Cape went into the yard....they can see more what your all about

thanks a lot for that mate. ill give it a go. anything is worth a shot. thanks again

Get down there...dont give them any ******** stories about having worked offshore before cos they will find you out, tell them you feel this is what you need to further your career, your willing to take anything they have just for the experience (short/**** jobs) maybe try your hardest to get with capes on a powerstation get your foot in the door and ask for the transfer to offshore. Im not entirely sure if Hertel are still doing anything offshore, maybe someone else here can confirm it for me?

thanks

thanks mate i will do , i wouldnt lie anyway mate as i know i would get found out with the vantage system. but i will definately give it a go but the only problem i have is that i live in manchester and great yarmouth is a long way for me but still , if it got me a job, i would do it in a heartbeat. cheers for the info mate ill probably have a trip down next week. thanks again mate
