Without searching on the net.

Why is Bull Week called Bull Week.

I hope 1 of you hits the same answer as me cos I've got a pint resting on this.
 
A bull is someone who thinks the market will go up. A bear is someone who thinks the market will go down.A bull is someone who thinks the market will go up. A bear is someone who thinks the market will go down.

Thus a bull week is a week in which the market goes up!


It comes from the old days. A bull attacks with his horns and strikes upward. Whereas, a bear uses his claws and strikes downward.

The saying is bulls get richer, bears get richer, pigs and sheep get slaughtered.

Just don't be a pig (who gets too greedy and stays in too long) or a sheep (the investor who shys away from gettin in in the first place).

Bull Week aka "Bullsh*t" week

Book in anything and everything to get a decent draw for the holidays :D
 
Mmm, I know there are some who think their hot stuff at this but I reckon it's no better or worse than a punt on the GG's. I wouldn't mind being a bit more clued up but by the time the info reach's me I've already missed the boat.:(
 
That's very true aom, The bigger the risk the bigger the return or so there say... the only gamble I do now is shares on the stock market..
 
Yeah, me too but every time I hear the news I feel like cashing it in.:cry:
 
very true.. I have been there a few times.. then I look at cash I will loose if I do cash them in... its got to pick up soon...

I live my life on the net... Just like people live there's like the soaps on the telly... its got me out of trouble more times then it as me in trouble....

Luckily for me, my missus works as a futures trader.

Tips:-

Futura Medical (makes 'viagra in a condom' amongst other things)
Cove Energy (enormous gas field discovered off Mozambique and as juinior partner - likely to get swallowed)
Software Radio Technology (has cornered the market in ship tracking devices - now law in most countries)
Tertiary Mining (two enormous fluospar mines under development in Scandinavia).
