Bracing patterns on returns?

Hi can anybody off advice on bracing a scaffold return?

Do both faces of the corner need bracing at the first bay or just as long as there is one sway brace per every six bays down both sides,?

As long as the sway braces are like you say it dont matter , i have sway braced each corner on jobs before with 10 foot sway braces lift to lift .

Your corner acts a tie theoreticly. you only need to brace every 6 bays. Unless you have a drawing that states it needs bracing.

I always just sway every 5th bay all the way round

The only time I have ever braced a return is on the small church towers where you can remove the dog legs on the lift.

The h&s officer said all corners need to be braced both sides, as this acts also as your first ledger brace going in each direction, hence alternative pairs of standards plus ends?????
