bit of advice again

Currently working for danny sullivan on bfk crossrail site . I've been working for 7months now on nights shift and last night the construction manager from bfk come and told me , that from monday I have to go on days . Going on days the rate is different and I've told them before that if they gonna put me on days I'll give them my notice . Now, untill I get a decent job somewhere else I will go on days ...but my question is : do they have to pay me the night rate or they can do wherever they want ? I'm not sure , but some of the guys told me , that they should have give at least a week notice (not 2days) and they will have to pay me the night rate for a certain amount of time . Is that right ?

Driftas on the right path there Fred your more than likely going to be contracted to I quote ' what ever meets the company's requirements " therefore they can do what they like......... Bollox I know but if it's a good number might be better to suffer it a while and you prob will go back on nights if you get on with the night chargehand ;)
