just thought i'd let everyone know about this agency we worked for last week.
LNS they're called,and everything sounds ok,then the rates go down,then you get fobbed off about getting paid,they tell you all is well,you'll get paid within the hour ,they say. then you don't get paid. has anyone else worked for them? told us fairgate would pay us within the hour,then nothing. ******** agencies.

candle in the wind mate when agencies come to pay you . this is out it works they agree a rate with the client this can be anything up to 35quid per hr depending on where you work. say you put 55hrs in the agency then do what they call business factoring . the factoring company then checks out the hrs you have worked with the client the agency as subbed you out to so by the time your hrs have been checked your money will always be late and if the agency as reached its credit amount with the factoring company then theres no more funds available I cant stress enough if you let these feckers in our trade they will ruin the trade and ruin our pay stay away starve them of our services and the clients will come back to us on a subcontract basis or paye basis all the best bud hope you get paid what your owed

Do what every good scaffolder does and start your own labour only company. Go to the companies that use agencies and sell yourselves. (Speak don't grunt)
