Any Employers on here, joined up with B & CE ?

Found this to be a good idea if you directly employ on PAYE basis

I haven't seen this in years, Crawley wasn't it you had to send your stamps to. Didn't realise it was still on the go.

yea i had that years ago too,not heard anything from them in years is it a small cash sum on retireing????

a small cash sum is all you'll get aswell... cos the goverment keep knicking money from pension schemes.

I thought it was the old holiday stamps?

its a non contributry (lump)sum on retirement am sure, think now you can contribute to it weekly and cash it in,on retirement.

yes used to recive regular correspondance from them way back mate, wonder much av got lol?

Yeah B&CE were the guys behind the Holiday stamp scheme, your Employer paid your stamp to them and they did the Admin, they also have several other services that run in addition for a Construction worker.Brief overview from B&CE website.

B&CE is one of the UK's largest provider of financial benefits to construction industry and . As industry specialists, we have created a range of financial products to try and help meet the needs of everyone working in construction, including a stakeholder pension, employee accident cover, employee life cover, employee healthcare and holiday pay.

Well done Paddy, I truly thought this was a relic from yesteryear.

Surprised it seems unheard of to most, or is some distant memory of holiday stamps (long before my time :toung:)

Any NASC member company has to (or should be) complying with the employment conditions of the CIJC working rule agreement, part of which specifies that death and accident benefits are to be arranged through the B&CE, and pension benefits should be arranged through the B&CE or a suitable alternative scheme.

Minimum pension contribution by the employer is £5 per week, and around £1.70 per week for the death / accident benefit. It's going to come as an awful shock to some companies when they're forced to contribute to employee's pension schemes in a couple of years, if they're not already doing it voluntarily
