Assessors + Verifiers.

I've finally managed to get myself booked onto both courses and was just wondering if anyone else has done them and has any advice for a successful outcome?

It's a lot about procedures. Assessing using a range of methods. You will pis$ it mate.

Funny, that's what the tutor said. It's like everything else though, your always a bit wary going in blind. The assessor should be simple enough as I already have 2 learners in my yard but the verifier could prove tricky as I've no idea where I'm going to find 2 assessors to assess. Hopefully the local college might help me out.

If I remember correctly the verifier only goes through the evidence assessed by the assessor to check that all the procedures are adhered to. He doesn't verify the evidence just the methods.

Oh, didn't realise that, hopefully that may simplify the process a bit.

There was a massive amount of paperwork involved mate. Maybe that has been reduced as I heard they use hyperlinks these days!
Quite interesting really once the Penny drops and you can see the system clearly. No worries for you at all

Let's hope you're right, I could probably do without the masses of paperwork but I suppose everything is all about paperwork now. I start next Monday, so will let you know what happens.

I did the assessors and a colleague did the internal verifiers. I think they had to be seperate entities back in those days no idea why when the whole thing was overseen by an external verifier.

They are still separate courses, but I got a deal to do them both at the same time. They come in up here at £595 each and I'm getting them both for £400.

Chesterfield College have just sent us a load of courses that they have funding for.
A1 assessor is on there

No funding available up here except the usual SDC thingwy. 400 can't be bad with or without funding, surely?

PDA Assessor now I think, but I assume it's the same and only the name has changed?
