Apprentice Scaffolders

Hedge End and/or Wickham, Fareham
Apprentice Scaffolders: Apprentice Scaffolders are required to join Hampshire’s largest, most reputable independent scaffolding firm, offering long term career opportunities and ongoing training to gain professional scaffolding qualifications.
As an Apprentice Scaffolder you will be fully employed. After a three month trial, the successful candidate will enter the Apprenticeship Programme and attend college for 13 weeks over 2 years, working towards NVQ Level 2 Scaffolding, and beyond. Ambitious Apprentice Scaffolders will also be given wider training, such as HGV driving, powered access, asbestos safety and confined space working.
Applicants must have:
- The desire to gain professional qualifications and grow within a reputable firm.
- Good numerical, written and communication skills.
- The ability to follow instructions and plans carefully and accurately. Work with pride.
- G*ood hand-to-eye coordination.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Enjoy rewarding manual work outdoors.
Whilst developing skills as a scaffolder, additional duties will include:
- Labouring, both on site and in the yards.
- Loading and cleaning vehicles.
- Servicing equipment.
The work is physically demanding, so applicants must be fit, agile and active for climbing and handling heavy equipment. Applicants must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all weathers, wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
As with all opportunities in the construction industry, hours are long with early starts so flexibility is required. However, after successful qualification, earnings of £24,000 pa+ can be achieved, increasing to £40,000 pa+ with experience.

Apprentice Scaffolders must live within 30 minutes travelling distance of the Hedge End OR Fareham depots and be able to get themselves to the depot. Drivers are preferred. (Note: Experienced qualified Scaffolders are also required).
