Appeal for witnesses after £1,500 worth of scaffolding stolen in Dursley

OVER £1,500 worth of scaffolding was stolen from a building site in Dursley.

The lightweight portable aluminium scaffolding was stolen between 4pm on Sunday, May 1 and 8am on Monday May, 2 after offenders forced entry to the building site on May Lane.

Police investigating the theft are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to get in touch.

Inspector for the Dursley Local Policing Team Tony Jones said: "We will not tolerate metal thefts and take any reports of these thefts very seriously, they can cause financial misery to the victims concerned as it can cost thousands of pounds to replace or repair the stolen items."
