Guys what loading can these two ties take?
Currently using Hilti rings and anchors in a concrete frame but we have cladding areas where the brickwork needs to be complete along side for a rainwater penetration test.
Need to know what loadings Apollo rings with plastic plugs can take and excalabre bolts too and if there suitable for brickwork
I will be pull testing once installed, is this the same process as Hilti rings with the other adapters in the kit
Sorry to ask such daft questions but I've not used these much and have been asked to find a different tie for a few areas. I do have to get our engineer to recalculate the tie loadings and he will have the final say on the tie type but I would like to know some info before I call him tomorrow

Give ADI supply a ring 01384 483657 as I have always found them helpful.
They sell these fixings and know all the pull loads for different applications.

I pull test them to 7.5KN in soft brick work with out any creeping of the plug on a regular basis
I have never pulled one to destruction so not sure what they will take as a maximum

Thanks Teesside that's good info

Our hilti anchors are tested for 6.25kn with a proof test of 10kn do you think I would get a 10kn pull test on plastic plugs

You could no problem. In my experience they only start to creep above 15KN. It obviously very much depends on the substrate, and it is the same kit for using the pull test rig, just a different adapter. The bolts work excellent in brick as well, especially if you require any of the load in shear.
