Mission and Purpose of Role:
To ensure the efficient control of contracts in order to achieve maximum profitability. The role will liaise directly with the main contractor to oversee planning and progress and the managing of day to day operational matters.
Key Objectives of the Role:
To execute work efficiently to the client’s satisfaction and to pay regular visits to sites to inspect progress and quality of work.
Ensure that the company safety procedures are enforced and that all work is carried out in accordance with the current Health & Safety regulations.
Coordinate requirements of materials, transport and labour for the effective operation of the contracts.
Job Level Overview and Accountabilities:
Process-
Ensure compliance to contractual requirements and current H & S legislation at all times, reporting to the Operations Manager.
Financial-
Ensure the effective control and supervision of material costs and labour utilisation to achieve planned contribution targets.
People-
Motivate Contract staff for effective delivery of services.
Effectively communicate with external and internal technical and operations staff to establish a clear understanding of the contract delivery requirements.
Skills
The Contract Supervisor will need to have proven qualities of labour management, combined with knowledge of construction and scaffolding operations. A skilled organiser and planner, the jobholder will also have knowledge of budgetary control with regard to the jobs and their differing contractual basis.
Qualifications & Training
CISRS Scaffolder card
Proficient in IT skills
Scaffold Inspection - preferred
SSSTS - preferred
Behavioural Competencies:
Analytical thinking; Business awareness; Relationship management; Organisation and planning; Customer service focus; Leadership.
