Hi scaffs,just wanted to say how annoyed i am getting regarding my advanced E.C.I.T.B ticket,i have been scaffolding since 1977and come xmas i cant ,WHEN IS SOMETHING GOING TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS ?

It is strange how many in our industry have years of experience, but not considered acceptable because they haven't done a course.

It is even more difficult now for employers as the business has reduced.

Welcome to the Scaffolders Forum mate.

I suggest you get a Slab of beeror 3, and a Indian banquet for 16 or 20 lock your doors and visit the Forum thread ECITB Tkts.

When you have digested that mate, please come and comment, we at the newly formed SCCR need your support as we are using this Fiasco as a major right for the reason to be Consulted.

well scaffs,as i run a buisness now as a manager i still like to go on the tools
so hopefully someone might come to there senses and re think about all the good scaffs who will be out of work come xmas,its out of order,
 
I would like to see a study of how many people do actually lose their jobs, it would then be tangible to discuss with MP's as this is the last thing a government will want.

There's not a lot the goverment can do about it mate.

You could speak to the EU and ask them nicely if they'll change one of their directives - But the chances of that happening are about as remote as Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup this year....
