Protests outside the redevelopment of alder hey against laing o rourke for keeping unnofficial and illeagal blacklists of tradesmen, men who raised legitimate safety concerns or work related issues were banned and refused work and put on a secret blacklist, they are forced to pay compensation but the practice continues :worried:

What a load of bolllocks.
All the time they tell us to report any accidents and near misses, and yet they do this and get banned. Only one reason for this and its financial, the less reported accidents the more money they get for a so called safe site.
I found this out from a good friend of mine who is in charge of a galliford try site.

I aplaud the protesters as there is no room for BLACKLISTS in the modern workplace.We will never like everyone we work for or who works with and for us but to deny a man the right to earn a wage is disgusting and to hide that fact with a blacklist is a fecking disgrace and the mark of a coward
