albert memorial

albert memorial does anyone have any pics of when it was up and who did the scaffolding?

SGB did it back in the early nineties. It was in the Guinness Book of records as the largest ever free standing scaffold, if I remember correctly.

As for pics, I can't help you mate.

RedViking is the man for the pic job god knows where he finds half of them glad i am not the only scaffolding pervert on here

Hahaha I'm still waiting for him to get me a photograph of a Dodo laying an egg!

Surely not mate. I did some work there back in 98/99 when they were still Kwikform. Nothing too big that I remember

I suppose it depends on how you measure the scaffold. Total length of tube used? Overall height of the scaffold? Total weight?

SGB had the Guinness record for a few years back in the 80's at Guys Hospital, London - 142 miles of tube, apparently!

Last I heard it was the birdcage at the Eden Project that was claiming to be the biggest ever, but a bit like a lot of things - we'll never know for sure.

Grum just noticed your location
worked with some wombwell warriors back in the 70s for Deboras
