Congratulations to all those involved in completing the 6 major venues. After years of working overseas with many different nationalities its good to know there is still one nation that can complete major construction projects ahead of schedule and under budget.
There will always be an England !!!!!

I agree they have done well to get things done on time or some cases early.
To bring the projects in under budget as something to be proud of as well.

You have to wonder if many subbies were shortchanged (screwed) by the main contractors to help them achieve it though

Enough firms have gone skint on there

How have you let that happen? The Aussies wont let it happen here!!!

You say that mate but in fairness it's a lot harder to sneak into Australia.

They do still have immigration problems though, with Lebanese, Greeks, Croatians, Serbians and a mixture of Asians and various other nationalities with large communities.

There are areas of Sydney & Melbourne where Australian born residents are vastly outnumbered - Cabramatta in NSW being one notable example.

I was being a bit "tongue in cheek" Phil. Australian born residents apparently account for 75% of the population at the moment which is pretty good for a country which has had immigration for 50,000 years:p
